Save and Continue Later
-----------------------

The Save and Continue Later feature allows survey participants to save their progress and return to complete the survey at a later time.

How it works
------------

The Save and Continue Later feature works differently depending on whether the participant is logged in.

### For logged-in users

When a participant is signed in to their account, their survey progress is saved automatically, as long as the survey has **Save user progress** turned on.

If that setting is turned off, signed-in participants save their progress the same way as anonymous participants, using the **Save and continue later** button.

Logged-in users can access their saved drafts from their profile at any time.

### For anonymous users (not logged in)

Participants who are not logged in can click the **Save and continue later** button to save their progress. A **Save your survey progress** dialog opens, explaining what the link is and offering the option to **Save and copy survey link**.

This unique link allows the participant to return to their saved draft. Any changes made in future sessions are automatically saved to the draft when the browser is closed.

#### Keep it safe

Anyone with this link can view or complete the survey. Participants should keep their link private and not share it with others.

Draft expiry
------------

Saved survey drafts are removed under the following conditions:

- **Time limit:** Saved drafts expire after **60 days**.
- **Survey closure:** Once the survey closes, saved drafts can no longer be resumed.
