Login to your site Login to your site ================== Updated 1 week ago · 4 min read Search Search First time login ---------------- If you're a new user, here's how to access your Civio Engage account and set up a password: 1. When an administrator has created an account for you, you will receive an email with the subject *(your site name) account activated*. 2. Open the email, and click the **Set a password** link. 3. This will open a page that will enable you to Enter your new password. 4. Complete the **Password** and **Confirm password** fields. Click the **Save your password** button. 5. Open your Civio Engage website. 2. **Login** using your username and password. 3. If you have enabled Two Factor Authentication (2FA): 1. You will be asked to confirm access to your account by entering a 2FA code provided by the Authenticator app. Log into the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Enter the randomly generated authentication code provided by the app into the field. 2. Click **Confirm authentication**. You are now logged into Civio Engage. 4. Click on your **username** at the top right, and then **Dashboard**, to be taken to the configuration interface where you can start building your projects. ![The username dropdown menu open in the top right of the site, with the Dashboard option traced.](https://engage.knowledge.civ.io/storage/kYZELiu7e6lNm0SXbKTsSaACQGgXju3GUGv5yHlX.png) Setting up Two-factor authentication (2FA) ------------------------------------------ To enable 2FA, follow these steps: 1. Open your Civio Engage website. 2. Click on your **username** to open the User menu. 3. Click **Manage profile**. 4. Scroll to **Two-factor authentication** sector down the bottom of the page. Click **Enable**. 5. This will open a popup window where you need to confirm your password. Enter your password and click **Confirm**. 6. Two-factor authentication is now enabled. 7. Once enabled, a QR code will appear in the 2FA section of your profile settings. 8. Scan this QR code via the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device (following the instructions on the the app). 9. This will add "**Civio Engage** to your Authenticator account list. 10. The next time you login to Civio Engage, you will be redirected to an authentication page and asked to confirm access to your account by entering an authentication code provided by the Authenticator app. 11. Verify your email address ------------------------- When your account is created, we send a verification email to confirm your address. Until you verify it, a banner appears at the top of the page whenever you are logged in. It reads: **"To complete your registration and unlock all functionality you must verify your email."** If you did not receive the email, or it has expired, you can resend it yourself: ![The email verification notice, with the Resend verification email button](/storage/gaEkyrKaX1bQdeyuIsa7cXTEZIG8pAQ8mgh9CWRO.png) 1. Log in to your account. 2. At the top of the page, locate the banner reminding you to verify your email address. 3. Click the **Resend verification email** link in the banner. This opens the **Verify your email** page. 4. Click the **Resend verification email** button on that page to send a new email. 5. Open the new email and click the verification link to confirm your address. Once verified, the banner no longer appears and all functionality is unlocked. Forgotten your password and can't log in? You don't need to verify your email first. On the login screen click **Forgot password** (or visit **/forgot-password**), enter your email, and follow the link to reset it. If you enter the right email and password but see a message that your account has been deactivated, an administrator has switched your account off. Contact your administrator to have it reactivated.
