Notifications in Civio Engage

   Civio Engage sends notifications based on a user's role. Roles can be assigned at two levels:

- **Site-wide Role** — Receives notifications for all projects across the entire site.
- **Team Role** — Receives notifications only for content assigned to that team.

A user can hold both a site-wide role and a different team role. For example, someone could be Staff at the site level but a Reviewer within their team.

**Important — how team notifications currently work.** Team-based notifications apply to **project-level** approvals. When an item *inside* a project (such as an event, survey, page, timeline, document, map, or hotspot) moves through the approval workflow, only people who hold the relevant role at the **site-wide** level are notified. A Reviewer or Project Manager who holds their role only within a team is **not** currently notified for these in-project items. To make sure a reviewer is notified for every type of content, assign their role at the site-wide level.

Public User Notifications
-------------------------

Community members who register on your site can receive the following notifications, grouped by what they relate to.

### Account access
